2025 GALA
Dearest Familia!
We would like to thank everyone who attended our GALA 25 on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the National Portrait Gallery. We appreciate everyone's support and attendance at the, "Community Builders Moving the Region Forward" event. It was an unprecedented success.
Our thanks go out to all of our sponsors, from the fabulous team from PEPCO, our title sponsor, Gilbane & SPD-Con, our legacy sponsors, and all the gold, silver and the many specialty sponsors as well as to those who bought tables and the individuals who came on their own.
We had a wonderful time. Grateful to Dep. Mayor for Planning & Economic Development, Nina Albert, who filled in admirably for Mayor Bowser. Appreciative of our four honorees, David Amaya, Wayne Frazier, Sandi Rosario & Evelyn Ross. Ever grateful to Greg Akerman, President of the Building Trades Unions and to our friend the remarkable Luis Gilberto Murillo, who we hope one day will become President of Colombia. Thankful as well for the attendance of Paul Choquette, from the Gilbane family, our most important partner.
And, of course, none of this could have happened without the wonderful team who set this up. Thank you, Cely Argueta, the glue that keeps us together, Elaine Arias, the extraordinary Membership & Marketing Director who suggested the venue and then loaded the event on her back and brought us through to the finish line. Deepest gratitude to our Board Treasurer and GALA 25 Chair, Elisa Arguello, and all of the volunteers and colleagues who helped us put this on without a hitch. Last but not least, to our magnificent Board of Directors.
We have copied here photos of the event. For the next 3 weeks we are going to post many, many of these photos for our network of friends & colleagues. We hope you enjoy them and will share them as well. We are serious when we say; "We Build America", Wednesday, evening, March 26, we proved it!
Gracias a todos!
