Friends, Members & Partners, we're sending you an invitation (attached) to our first live event of the year.
Located at a beautiful riverfront property, this is a modest, outdoor celebration (with appropriate health precautions) of the opportunities and work provided by the DC Dept. of General Services to our contractors throughout this period of the pandemic and the diversity of leadership at the DC procurement agency represented by the appointment of ex-HCA member Donny Gonzalez as Dep. Director of Facilities Maintenance.
Since we met w/the late Alan Lew, we have spent the last 7 years asking that Latino leadership be present at the table when procurement opportunities are discussed. Finally. this seems to have happened.
We're also pleased to recognize the work of Acting Director, Keith A. Anderson, who has been a friend and ally of our organization since he took over the agency.
There are only 75 invitations available (and many already taken) and we are asking for a donation from those who plan to attend. This is a chance to share in person time with the leadership of the most important procurement agency of DC Government as it concerns construction. If you are a CBE or this interests you for whatever reason, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. We appreciate our partners in this endeavor; DC Water, PEPCO, Kohler @ Grof, Keystone Plus and the Building Trades Unions. We'd like to thank The CalPro Group, Socrates & Ramon Cala for planning and managing this event.
Come enjoy a special evening celebrating the end of Hispanic Heritage month and recognizing that "Diversity Matters".
